Change A Life

Making the Valparaiso community stronger

Your donation means more than dollars. It provides hope for our families and a positive impact in their lives.

Here are some examples of what your money can do…

If you would like your donation to be used for a specific purpose such as childcare, food pantry, or memorial gift, please indicate this in the comments field below. We are grateful for any amount you wish to give.

Outright Gifts

A gift of cash or other assets such as appreciated securities can sustain Hilltop’s ongoing programs, or build the Hilltop Endowment Fund at the Porter County Community Foundation, or support capital needs immediately.

Employer Match

Many employers will match your gift, dollar for dollar, and some employers go as high as 3:1 for your personal donation. Check with your employer to see whether they have a matching program and how to enroll in it.

Bequests

A gift of a percentage of estate assets or a specific sum of money to Hilltop Neighborhood House through your will or trust document as an outright gift or to Hilltop’s Endowment Fund helps sustain Hilltop.

Retirement Funds

Arrange for a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) to Hilltop or its endowment account any time from your IRA after attaining age 72. A pre-tax charitable gift allows more generous giving.

Life Insurance

Name Hilltop Neighborhood House, Inc. as a beneficiary to an existing life insurance policy, transfer ownership of an existing policy, or purchase a new policy and make Hilltop Neighborhood House the owner and irrevocable beneficiary.

Wish Lists

Our wish lists for each program illustrate items that are critical to our programs’ success. If you, your church, school, civic group or office are interested in conducting a drive for any of these items, please call us or visit our page here.

Other Possibilities

Plan with your tax advisor to give a qualified charitable gift annuity, charitable remainder trust, major gifts of services and other assets.
